Proverbs 3: 5-6
Proverbs 3: 5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Do not depend on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways remember him.
Then he will make your paths smooth and straight.
I love these two verses TRUST in the Lord. How many times have you said okay Lord I'm trusting you. I'm putting matters into your hands, yet your still holding back, your still trying to have control. I have done this thinking and telling God that I trust him but yet still trying to make things happen in my time frame. It wasn't until I truly trusted in him that I can see him working in my life. Thank-you Lord!
God Bless,
Ginger

A former pastor, who is now in Heaven, used to tell us that these were his favorite verses. I can see why: all we need do is TRUST. God will do all the hard stuff. Thanks for sharing.
I think we all have to struggle with this. We believe God can handle situations and trust that he will, but we still want to be in control. It isn't easy.

I wake up every morning wanting to trust in my Lord! Sometimes I struggle and I don't always make it but I still try to trust in Him. Wonderful post Ginger.
New Year's Blessings,
Kathi :)
Trust! This is the key. Thanks for the good reminder. I have a great book on this subject: The Speed of Trust, The one thing that changes everything, by Stephen Covey.
I had these verses given to me when I 1st went into training to become a Salvation Army Officer (vicar, pastor, minister) in 1983 and they are ones that I return to time and time again. Judith
Thanks, Ginger, for your post. I am learning slowly, slowly how to trust and let go and let God.
Looks like you've been busy decorating blogs too. Isn't it fun?
Hugs,
Charlotte
Trusting Jesus is one of the hardest things in my Christian life, but we must do it, He will never let us down.

Ginger, You and I have been thinking about the same verses this week. I think that these verses will always be ones that we should think on because we are so prone to go it on our own.
Happy New Year!
Cheryl
